Party Time

Ok so I haven't blogged for awhile and Susannah has chastised me so I am going to try and do better!! haha...
Lets see first of all I am so STINKIN EXCITED for my FABULOUS PARTY!!!!! (planned by Susannah, the most amazing party planner ever!!)
So here is my exciting story of the day. My friend Summer, who is also oh so fabulous, is helping out with food because well she is Hawaiian so she knows about this stuff. So anyways. She calls me up last night to tell me what I need to go buy. So she starts listing off groceries. Chicken, pineapple, brown sugar, pork butt... WHAT!?!?!? PORK BUTT???? hahaha she told me that and I started laughing hysterically (it did not help that she was laughing also, and then I pictured her grandma saying that cause she gave Summer the list in the first place). So that is what Kahlua Pig is...Pork butt. So I go to Maceys with Danielle and Ryan and we are looking around in the meat section for pork butt. I have to say that I never thought I would go into a grocerty store looking for that. Well we couldn't see any just sitting out. So we ended up asking the butcher (ok Ryan asked the butcher cause I don't think I could of gotten it out without laughing my head off!!). So Macey's had no pork butt, but (hahah) the guy said that the pork sirloin was the same thing. So I bought a bunch of that (which was SUPER expensive) and then we took it to Summer's house.
So I drop it off and we head on our way. A little while later Summer called. Yeah... so apparetly pork sirloin is not even close to pork butt. So we had to take the pork back to Maceys (which was another story in itself) and then Summer's dad bought the pork butt today. Hahaha that was and interesting night!!
That is my story! I am so excited for this party! Well I guess I will see you all tonight!!

Ok so I am feeling SO much better! Maybe it is cause I actually slept last night (I actually overslept too...) or maybe it was the whole Norah Jones. Or maybe it is cause I am back to my regular schedule! But I am happy!!! Why I am blogging this I really don't know... but if I start to act wierd again, then someone kick me in the butt!!!
Ok that is all I have to say tonight...

Kelly The Lifesaver!!

Ok so I was stressing out majorly and having some meditation to do. So I took the advice of Kelly, I got in the tub, listened to some Norah Jones, and lit up the candles! Dang that is a miracle worker! I feel so much better!! Why does that work? Who knows and who cares!! All I know is that I am doing it much MUCH more often! Now I just need to get a bigger tub...

Driving as Anger Management!

Ok welll so I went on my blind date tonight. Ugh, not one of my better dates! The first part was fun! We went to a BBQ with some of my date's friends. They were pretty cool people (one was extremely good looking!!) . I was having fun. Then we went to see my date's brother play at some "club" type place. It was incredibly retarded! They started like an hour late and my date was not a talkative person. So i got really bored and totally ruined my $25 acrylic nails. Ugh... now I know what I am doing Monday, Suave's here I come!! Okay so after the "show" my date dropped me back at home (mostly at my request). So I got back a little after 9 pm. Then I ended up inviting myself to go see Amnatyville (or however you spell that) Horror. That pretty much scared the crap out of me!! And then I had to drive home by myself. That bugged me! Lucky for me though, Susannah, being the fabulous and wonderful friend she is!! came with me! Then I felt bad because I ended up in a bad mood, which tends to happen at night, when I am tired, and with certain people. But Susannah, being the great person she is, listened to me vent and yell at cars while driving who knows where!!!
That leads to my question/title. Why is driving such a good release for anger? Is it cause you are in an enclosed space? Is it cause you can turn up your music as loud as you want? Is it cause you can scream and yell at people and they can't back? Or is it cause you have control over a 2000 lb vehicle and you can do whatever you want with it? I don't know, but there is something about driving around- singing and yelling at the top of your lungs- that helps relieve all problems! That along with a warm bath, Norah Jones, and candles (thanks Kel for that one, I am so doing it tomorrow), all your problems kinda disappear. Wierd! Although as soon as you step out of the car, or the tub, they all come rushing back to you. Ugh...
Well this is my semi-depressing blog for you all!!! So I guess the moral of tonight is don't go on blind dates and pray that gas prices will go down so you are not spending $30 a day on your depression!

Blind Dates

Ok well so I have another blind date tomorrow. Figures! This is like my hundredth blind date this year. Funny cause I haven't gone on any normal dates! I am a little nervous for this date. My last blind date ended up being pretty interesting and I felt like a complete idiot! So now I will tell the story!
I went with my friend Cami on this blind date! It was blind for both of us. So we go in and meet up with our dates at the movie theater. My date goes over to an ATM to get cash for our tickets (I am wondering why he didn't just pay with his credit card, but I figured hey, maybe he likes to pay with cash) and I end up standing in the ticket line with my friend and her date. Well they get their tickets and go stand in line to get into the movie, while I am still waiting for my date. So I start to wonder why he is taking so long and then I see him go stand in the movie line with my friend and her date. I asked the ticket girl if he had already bought tickets before we came in or something. She started laughing at me and asked if I was on a blind date. So of course, I said yes and asked what was so funny. By this time my friend and our date's were looking at me really wierdly. Well it turns out that the "ATM" was really one of those ticket machine deals where you can buy your tickets online or whatever. I felt like the BIGGEST IDIOT ever!!!! So the ticket girl (who is still laughing at me) tells me that I should just tell my date that I knew her from class. So that is what I did. I strolled over to the movie line like nothing was wrong. My friend asked if I knew the girl and I said "Yeah of course!" And then a problem occured. My friend's date asked what her name was. First of all, why would he ask that? What compelled him to ask that question? Lucky for me, I am an observant person! I glanced at her name tag once and so I had some idea what her name was. So I said, very casually, "Susannah, you know Susie" (cause it was one of those names that can be shortnened). Well they all believed it, even my friend!!!
So I don't know exactly what the moral of this story is! I guess make sure you look at everone's name tags!
